Dr. Tom Lynn Joins to Accelerate Clinical Informatics Strategy for Value-Based Care Business

Frisco, Texas – November 19, 2015 – Conifer Health Solutions today announced the appointment of Thomas E. Lynn, M.D. as chief medical officer of its Value-Based Care business. Dr. Lynn brings more than 25 years of experience to the company’s fastest growing business line. He joins at a time of rapid expansion for the Value-Based Care unit as health care organizations, employers, and unions nationwide continue to grapple with the new realities of care delivery in the era of fee-for-value.

Dr. Lynn will lead Conifer Health’s clinical informatics practice that focuses on helping health care providers make informed decisions that reduce cost, deliver quality outcomes and improve access to care. His work will advance the Company’s clinical analytics and predictive data modeling programs to better measure providers’ performance and to give consumers the most relevant information to manage their own health. Dr. Lynn comes to Conifer Health from Optum where he served as senior medical director in the Healthcare Informatics consulting practice.

Dr. Lynn has held numerous leadership positions within the industry and has led large, complex projects to improve medical knowledge through the application of technology and data. He is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine and is board certified in family practice. Dr. Lynn completed his residency at Duke University; he holds multiple patents related to data applications and is a widely published author.
